Yes, and Yes!
In Response To: Re: Take The small mini van... ()

I have been to Nassau several times via cruise ship, and the cruise terminal stays busy until the last cruise ship leaves -- and there probably will be at least a half dozen ships docked at the terminal pier. Travel time between terminal and casino is about 20 minutes or less. Years ago, the casino would allow and encouraged cruise ship passengers to visit by giving them a few perks like allowing them free access to the lovely grounds around the casino to see the beautifully landscaping, and a quick look at the spectacular aquarium's fish collection. However, the hotel guests complained the passengers were using the facilities for free while their stay there was quite expensive. So, now if you want to see any other area of the huge complex, you have to buy a ticket for access -- including the huge beach and water park. My grandchildren used the beach and water park this trip and it cost $149 per child. They really enjoyed the venue plus the visit included lunch at one of five outstanding Atlantis restaurants. The five of them enjoyed the day -- cabanas, drinks, lunch and the kids enjoyed the giant slides and water features. Go to the casino's website and see what's available. You might say, it's paradise on earth because every detail is taken care of with purpose. Free entry into the casino but don't be surprised to see high-rollers at the tables waging black, purple and gold chips. Hope this helps.

Walking also an option -- close to 2 miles.
Water Taxi is the way to go, nice view!
