NCR: Help! 1913 gold $2.50 coin - value?

As my folks were downsizing, they found this in an old jewelry box -- likely handed down by their folks. Small, the size of a dime.

It doesn't have sentimental value, so given the ease of ebay comps and chippers who are coin-knowledgeable, I offered to gather up some information on value. I suspect they would prefer the money over the coin.

An easy ebay search of completed listings for this 1913 coin shows plenty of sales in the high $200s to mid $300s. Higher for graded coins. See comp link below.

Melt value looks to be near $150. I know nothing about condition or mint marks.

If any of you could offer some wisdom on value, need to get it graded, etc. by reply post or email, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
