In any case, we are talking about the ink dyes rather than the chips rather than coins. You can't keep comparing what is right or wrong for coins with what is right or wrong for red chips. They are unrelated.
If I hadn't thrown them out over the years I would have shown you plenty of mylar, polythene and acetate holders with red bleed on them. Just as bad as any PVC with or without softeners.

If it were the chips that were the issue, then all of them would bleed. They don't, it's just the red (or colors which include any red).
