Being of Greek ancestry my father played this game quite often with his greek friends. He even won a private tournament at Caesars Palace in the early 70's . You can find the rules in Scarnes Complete Guide to Gambling. Look on pages 510-511. It's an old book but has everything about the official rules. Even though the odds are dead even my father always won the most by betting against the shooter. Obviously he bet on himself to win when he threw the dice.
