Had these chips for years. Inherited from the in laws a decade ago. Date to the late 60s or early 70s according to my wife. Chips are mint condition. Top Hat/Short Cane. 107 off white,106 black, 108 pink, there are few extras of each color in the dice tray. Two decks of unopened cards all stored in a leather and fabric felt lined case.
Here's my question. I would like to start playing recreational poker with 4 or 5 friends on the weekends. I know the Paulsons are nice chips and would be enjoyable to play with. Since I am a recreational player would I be better off saving the mint Paulsons as they are and just hand them down to my daughter. Then just go ahead and buy a good set or should I sell the Paulsons now to someone who would enjoy them for what they are an buy a bit better quality set with the money.
I am leaning towards handing them down and just buying a set to play with.
