I have had this a couple of times, but have found that if you try one of the other questions (such as shipping options) where there is at least one pre-set answer then you get the option "did this answer your question" and if you select "no" you are then invited to email the seller with your query. Sounds complicated but it isn't really (although I agree that you should be able to simply ask a question in the first place!)
