I was always amazed at the ridiculously high repair prices on the "Restoration" show. A guy would bring in a $300 item and think nothing of spending $3000 having Rick restore it. I think he did a War Eagle slot machine one time and charged the guy like $5000 to restore it and then bragged about how it was a $7500 machine. You can buy the machine at retail for a three or four grand.
