I've told this story before. I was down a Larry Trapp's place in Newport one day. A guy who runs a dealers school in my area was there. He asked Larry if he had a deck of cards. He found a deck. and the guy fooled with them for a while then flipped over the deck and fanned them out, looked at them for about ten seconds then scooped them back up. He appeared to be cutting the deck a few times. He apparently had memorized a good deal of the cards. He said he had a key card and when it came up he correctly named the next 15 cards before he dealt it off the deck. Then he did some shuffling and a bazaar array of cutting. There were four of us there. He dealt out for hands. First guy got four jacks the next hand was four queens, next was four kings and he dealt himself four aces. Swore right there, never to play cards with strangers.
