I picked up a box with Kentucky Club chips at a garage sale today. Two types chips in the box are diamond molds with the letter G. The blue ones are mixed in with the blue Ky Clubs and look as though they were use together. I asked the folks running the sale if they had any old poker chips. The guy asked his dad, who was there, and he said he did have some old ones from the Ky Club. He brought them out and it made my day. I asked how he came by them. He said he was a friend of Boogy Burns. He said Boogy ran the place. When it was being torn down Burns asked if there was anything he wanted, just take it. He took the chips. I asked what the G stood for and he had no idea. So now the question....Does anyone know what connection the G has. Was there someone with that name early on in the clubs history. All of the diamond mold G's are well worn and appear to be older than the chips with the club name on them. I'm keeping everything for now....At least till I found out what the G chips are.
