Hi Jim; I USED to have problems mailing chips as you've described, using cardboard in an envelope..... and then having to wait for months for the claim check to come through after the chip got "sqeezed" out of the envelope. I don't know all the details on how one poster says he got paid in a few days for his loss, when you have to wait a minimum of 30 days after it is mailed to file a loss claim. Maybe a damage claim is different. Since I've switched to the 000 padded mailing bag (which I buy by the case of 500 for my New Issues Service) I've not had a single problem of breakage. As a lot of you know, I also collect and trade Hard Rock Cafe pins.... which are much more fragile than casino or clay poker chips. Every pin I've ever received from a trade with another pin collector is individually wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped in a padded bag. With pin collectors, it's the universal way of doing business or trading as far as I'm concerned. Archie
