.........that the manufacturer of the Christy and Jones chip would have an old Arodie chip with an inlaid White A laying around in their facility to hotstamp to check out a new C&J die ??
I applaud your efforts in trying to come up with a possible solution to this mystery and the "short" L on both chips is really interesting !!
I will keep checking my records to see if I can come up with any more info on this chip.
