Had Jeter been drafted by the Cincinnati Reds (who had the opportunity and passed on some him so they could draft somebody who never made it to the majors), would everybody be as coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs over Jeter? Would he be the shortstop that everybody looks at now with such fond love & always doing the right thing & all that stuff. OR would he be the shortstop people would say "Good, competitive shortstop. Decent, but not Ozzie Smith-like range. Nice clutch player. Too bad he plays in Cincinnati!!"
