Shown below are a couple of items I picked up on the last day of operation of the Trump Plaza Casino. The TITO was taken out of a slot machine only 6 seconds before the Casino officially closed at 6:00 am on Tuesday September 16, 2014. I am sure this is the last TITO printed out from the Casino.
I obtained the Roulette Inventory Sheet on the afternoon of September 15th. It is a good thing I got the Sheet at that time because there were no Roulette tables open when I arrived at the Trump Plaza at 4:00 am on Tuesday - 2 hours before the closing. There were only 2 BJ tables and 1 Craps table in operation and less than 20 people in the Casino counting the various reporters. The place was totally dead !!!
I was interviewed by several reporters - Washington Post, etc. and also a couple of TV stations after I left the Casino. I was on a live feed to the morning show on Channel 29 from Philadelphia and I was able to make several comments about our Chip Collecting Club etc. I am trying to get copies of the TV interviews and when I do I will post them here.
It was sad for the Casino to close but it was good to get a little historical memorabilia for my collection.
Take care,
