When I was young, I worked with a surveying team in Florida. One day I was messing around and looking through old debris at a long abandoned and dilapidated house in the middle of nowhere. I lifted a piece of rusty metal, and there was a pygmy rattlesnake. I'd seen the larger varieties, but this one was only about a foot long. You could hardly see it's tiny rattles, but they were there!
That snake of yours, ain't no rattler! I think that it's a harmless species. HOWEVER, don't open it's mouth and poke your finger in, I reserve the right to be wrong!
