Just how did you contact the high bidddr since ebay doesn't show the bidders names to anybody but the Seller and they don't allow emails to be sent to anybody bidding on anything except by the seller.
Alos is there any chance this isn't the chip you sold way back when ?
You could contact ebay via phone and tell them its an Ivory chip and see if they would pull the item.
