Don, this is the first time that I heard there was a "second" or "re-manufactured one. I have a vague memory of the "brass core problems" many years ago but did not know a low value chip was involved. I have one $2.50, next to a $1, displayed at home with the story to tell friends when they see them side-by-side. I recall hearing from a Chipboard contributor who said he worked at Harrah's when the yellow $2.50's we're put on the tables. He said they were not considered "error's" but were pulled and destroyed when the obvious "stacking" problems were seen to occur on the craps tables. They were replaced with the green $2.50's.
