The ChipGuide strives to be the ultimate resource for identifying casino and non-casino chips. We have been struggling for a while to figure out the best way to categorize non-casino chips and how to place them on the ChipGuide. I think that we have a solution that will be agreeable to most collectors. The "OTHER STUFF" link on the Home Page now takes you to a redesigned page that is a menu of all the different types of non-casinos on the ChipGuide. Selecting one will show a list of all the organizations in that category and clicking on one of the organizations will show you all the chips from that organization.

Non-Casinos include: Advertisers, Bingo Parlors, Brothels & Strip Clubs, Dining & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Golf Clubs, Harley Davidson, Hotel & Motels, Internet Casinos, Tool Companies, Transportation, Asian Card Rooms, Casino Collector Clubs, Dealer School, Fraternal, Gaming Control, Generic Chips, Home Poker Sets, Manufacturer's, Military, Movie Prop, Personal Chips, Casino Management, UFC's and Win Cards.

Now the feature of most interest ... when you look at pages of all the casinos in a state, you can select whether you want to include non-casinos or not. Now in the MEMBER SERVICES box on the left hand side bar, the new feature is called "Non-Casinos?" with a dropdown field where you can select YES or NO. The default is NO. When you REFRESH the page non-casinos will be included or not according to your selection. If you just want to see just "real" casinos on the ChipGuide, the select NO and if you want to see everything, then select YES. And you can always change your mind, just change your selection and REFRESH.

I hope this new feature makes the ChipGuide a better resource for collectors.
