Some of you know I'm moving from California to New York. I donated seven boxes of collecting debris (I mean antiques) in January and now I have one last load. It includes an old set of chips in a wooden carrier, maybe a hundred misc. uninteresting chips, a set of Lucite napkin rings from Caesars, a couple of decks of casino cards, a couple of matched sets of dice from the Lady Luck, a postcard of Candy Barr from the El Rancho, a boatload of plastic chip pages, two old Life Magazines outlining the newly discovered Mafia, a small statue of Elvis, a framed menu from the El Rancho, a cuple of rubber stamps from the Sands and the Dunes, three nice pieces of Vegas chips in Lucite and a bunch of little lucite chip easels. Plus an oddly beautiful framed collection of fake items from the SS Rex. I may toss in some more.
I can't figure out how to attach a photo so if a Samaritan will email me I will email the photo back for posting.
Here's the deal. I'd like to auction the lot but it has to be picked at my home in Laguna Beach, CA. on or before Sunday, July 27. Please post your bids here and bidding ends at 6 PM on Tuesday PDT.
I'll open the bidding a $1.00
The best part: The winner sends his money to the Club Museum Fund.
