There are 10 different "Motel 6" promo tokens in the Nevada Casino Promo Tokens guide. Some are plastic, and some aluminum, like yours. I think I got mine years ago from Janice O'Neal at a chip show when she had an entire binder of duplicates of casino promo items. Janice collected everything!

Yours is catalog 503.0, 26 mm in diameter, and aluminum. Guide puts it at $4-5 in value. Values on this kind of item were pretty low in the guide, usually from $2-3 to as high as $20-25 for the more scarce of them.

I asked Howdy Herz at he Convention this year if he had ever reprinted the guide, and no. Authors were he and Kregg (The Coin Company), along with Dean and Jodi (Washoe Antiques). Kregg said she thought they might still have the masters for the guide at home and they would look for them, so there's a chance this interesting bit of collecting reference material may become available again. It was self-published in 1993 and as far as I know, is not available any more from any dealer, although I'm sure the Club library has several copies. Small format, and 156 pages, spiral coil bound.
