Riviera needs more than $20-$30 million facelift to be competitive, though it's a start.

As a comparison, the SLS (former Sahara) project is reported to cost $415 million!!
(That probably includes purchase price too, so not apples-to-apples.)

Just checked Riviera mid-week room rates, as reflection of its appeal -- they are $17 & up, plus $15 resort fee.
Not much revenue to work with. Even Circus Circus, across the street, charges more.

Hope they figure a way to fix this vintage LV property, but it needs a lot, IMO.
