Not really. But there is a comparison to scripophily... one aspect of which is collecting old engraved stock certificates. These are the "casino chips" of the old stock market, back when you bought 100 shares of a stock and your broker sent you a certificate for what you bought.
Nice artifacts of the old days at the NYSE casino. Not too expensive to buy. Not issued any more except in exceptional circumstances. Many are "drilled", like the 40-year old Pam Am certificate shown above. Most will never make you a lot of money, but fun to accumulate, and nice to display.
Some notable signatures on the old certificates. Some were famous and successful. Some, like William Sewell on this certificate, ran Pam Am into bankruptcy and was fired a few years after the date on this paper. You can find them with J.P. Morgan, Howard Hughes, and other notables, but they are harder to find and will cost you a little more money.
You can even find engraved certificates for some of the casino operators that incorporated. Here's one for Caesars World that is from the 1980's (not my scan).
