I have been in this hobby 15 years now. I have seen them come and go and some stay around for the long haul.

Some find fun and friendship that can last a lifetime. Some come looking to make a quick profit. They don't usually last long.
You will get out of this hobby what you put into it.

As for price guides I buy them all for the areas I collect. I wish another TCR would come out soon. I use it as a guide.
