O.K....on the first test scan the chips with the peach/salmon inlays (first 2 scans) had these settings:
(Also the 2nd test post had these settings, because the pink inlay chips in the first post weren't as "crisp"...so I redid them)
On the first post, the second 2 chips (with the pink inlays) had these settings (which I use for postcards):
The 2 green Barney's chip scans I was testing to see if there was a perceptible difference between using 24-bit and 48-bit color (I think the first chip was 48 and the 2nd was 24)
And if a scan needs some brightening, I click the backlight correction....
I tend to go for the black background because I like it, it eliminates the shadows, and I get it from leaving the scanner lid open which saves time .
