I am not sure that the accuracy of my criticism OR my right to make that criticism is dependant upon anything other than being a member of the organization whose members actions I am criticising. I am sorry that you seem to feel there are other requirements.
Up here in the Seattle area we are not exactly at the center of the finds for old chips and history is a little hard to come by, but I recall several posts of new chips and casinos opening up here in my area. I also posted on the death of Fred Steiner, pioneer in causing the State of WA to begin licensing non-Indian casinos. I have been able to find the identity & Major League Baseball record for Emmett O'Neall, part owner (with the Sahati Brothers)of the Stateline Country Club & the Holiday Spa casinos in the Reno Area (with Gene's help). In addition, I think my posts regarding the need for POSITIVE actions educate & inform people about the dangers of slabbing may have had some effect on causing the formation of the Anti-Slabbing Chapter. Are the above adequate?
I have enjoyed reading those articles that Andy has posted. That type of thing is what this BBS should be about, IMHO.
You were not one of those in my mind when I composed my post, but I think everyone should take a look at the trend and see what can be done to improve it. BTW: Did you ever receive a reply to your question to Mark regarding the Pai Gow chips? I asked the same question in a private e-mail and received nothing in response
