What area does he live in? Most likely they will run to the nearest antique shop, coin shop, or eBay/craigslist. They might go 1 or 2 towns over. He should contact some of the near by places and let them know. Maybe they could tell the sellers(thieves) that they don't buy that kind of thing , but they know someone who might be interested. Try to get their phone number and give it to the police to set up a sting. Ok?...I watch way tooooo much T.V. !!! But we could all keep an eye out on those outlets.
