John Mulls meats (Road Kill Grill) is pretty good. A BBQ place in the middle of a residential neighborhood. As you are driving there for the 1st time (I've been there 3) you keep saying to yourself "this can't be right...my mapquest directions are all screwed up!!" But there it is...a little ranchette style property with a couple of buildings an a parking area on it. You would definitely need a car...or an expensive taxi ride. I believe it is past the Fiesta Casino and the North Las Vegas Airport off of N. Rancho Dr.
Another place I would recommend is the Triple George Grill. It is downtown behind the Fremont on 3rd St. You should be able to find their menu online. (Steak, Seafood, Chicken and Pasta)
