As we quickly approach the convention, a lot of work is going on behind the scenes at the El Cortez and the Mob Museum.
Almost on a regular basis Neal Silverman is posting updates regarding the progress of the Jackie Gaughan display for the El Cortez. The display is scheduled to be up for a period of 6 months.
At the same time, a lot of work is going on for 2 displays at the Mob Museum. One will focus on Lansky and will be located in the "evidence" room. The other will be a few items from the very early days of the Flamingo and will be displayed in the Las Vegas room. These displays are scheduled to be in place for 5 years.
We are working diligently to have all of the displays in place in time for the convention.
If you haven't decided to attend the banquet this year, I suggest that you reconsider. In addition to our main speaker, Karl Bennison, Chief of Enforcement Division Nevada Gaming Control Board, we will have top representatives from the Mob Museum and the El Cortez attending the banquet and each will speak briefly about the displays and the relationships that are being built. This is a very exciting time for the and the MoGH.
