Splash and Treasure Bay closed early. Isle of Capri Tunica and Southern Belle also closed. Harrahs has had at least 3 different properties with the Harrahs name. Circus became Gold Strike (both are MGM properties). I used to buy foreign chips at almost all of the casinos. I remember when Lady Luck was getting ready to close. The cage manager and I went thru 20 huge bags of foreign chips and mainly tokens. I bought the few I needed and they destroyed the rest. I bought so many chips from Gold Strike that I used to tell the cage critters which drawer the foreign chips were kept in.

They were talking on the Memphis TV about the big bump the unemployment rate will take when Harrahs gets rid of the 1300 jobs. The only good news is when the property gets sold we get new chips!
