NO ONE that I have seen has suggested anything even remotely similar to the kind of racist, discriminatory and just plain ignorant implications of that comment, Rich. Those of us who are opposed to slabbing have expressed our opinions that the practice would be bad for our hobby and that our club should do something about it. We have suggested economic sanctions against those to participate in slabbing. All of which is a legitimate form of organized opposition to the business of slabbing. Yes, this IS America in the year 2001, so we get to say what we think and act on our beliefs.

If you don't like that, you can always find another bulletin board to read and post on.

Our club is a private organization. We can allow (or not) anything we want at our convention. Including books, if necessary. We are NOT the government. There are alternative outlets for products we don't permit at our convention.

Not me, but that doesn't mean I have to facilitate that desire in my club. If you want to collect slabbed chips, start your own "Slabbed Casino Chips & Gaming Tokens Investors Club" (SCC>IC).

No one has been threatened with anything other than an economic boycott. An All-American way of exerting economic pressure if there ever was one. You "get along" with the slabbers if you want. I prefer to fight them every step of the way.

The slabfree movement in our hobby is THE MOST POSITIVE thing happening in chip collecting. You may not think so, but I do and will continue to promote it at every opportunity.
