I'm going to give you a half a point for that one. The facts of the matter, as you know, are 1) that it IS correct to insert two spaces after a period at the end of a sentence, software notwithstanding, and 2) Mr. Birdsell inserted NO spaces after his periods.
Therefore the criticism still stands, since, although I can accept an implied second space if there is a single space, I can NOT accept two implied spaces if there are none.
Your post, I might note, was grammatically correct and the spelling was right on. Keep up the good work!
