No, inserts are inherently sloppy

If the insert were missing or the wrong color, I'd consider it an Error. A partial insert, no.

How much missing clay would constitute an error... I'd say 100% missing and it's an error.

By the way, this chip is known with a $2 inlay on one side, and a $2.50 inlay on the other. That's an Error, and merits a $300 bump in value in TCR! grin
