You don't really even have to own the chip as long as YOU are the one making the scan. Presumable you would at least have the chip owners permission to use it. Once you make the scan it is yours. The problem comes in where someone takes a scan from an Ebay auction and tries to send it to the Chipguide. He has no permission to use it so the club cannot accept it. Understand?
