They were not only very famous for the ivory they turned, but also for this very unusual stripe (beach ball design) that they introduced known as the "Burt Stripe" by pool/billiard collectors today... in fact, antique dealers/collectors are known to search the town turning over every stone in hopes of finding some.

I found these in a small thrift shop in Florida -- an almost complete set missing one ball...
