this is a great HOBBY filled with great people. The chip collecting part is fun, but it is very doubtful that many collectors would consider their chips as an investment. Values fluctuate, just as do things in the real world. While I do still enjoy adding chips to my collection, the overall value of my collection is less than it was comparatively when I started. But the people that I have met through this hobby & the great friends that I have made certainly outweigh whatever my monetary loss might be.
