In this first example, from a thrift store, I bought a framed piece of artwork for the frame and mat. I removed the artwork (a photgraph) and replaced it with a sheet of foam board (light brown). Using a circle cutter, I cut holes for the chips. I used photo-mount corners to hold the pink coupon and tri-fold brochure and the three WIN Cards cards. Displayed is a full set, WIN Cards package from the Four Queens at the 1 NCV level.
Next is another mixed media, framed item. The frame was bought new, but notice that it had some depth between the mat and the item being framed (a photograph).
I took an eXacto knife and cutout the cresent shape on the mat edge at the bottom, to hold an airtite. In the airtite is an example of the actual chip displayed in the postcard-sized picture. (That card was an example of the cards given out at the 2002 Convention to turn in to the Hard Rock to get one of the Pink Taco/ Convention commemorative NCV chips.) The airtite is behind the glass.
For perspective, here is a shot of both items on a wall.
