I was in A C the last 3 days and heard the following rumors, supposedly from good sources. Has anyone heard any of these ?? Are they true ??

1. Harrah's is going to sell Showboat to Hard Rock.

2. Harrah's is trying to buy the Revel.

3. Harrah's wants to get the old Atlantic Club property re-zoned as a "Non Casino" property but Gaming Control wants the property to remain zoned as a "Casino" property.

I have no idea if the above rumors are true - just want to see what other people have heard. They need to do something in the A C Casino market as the place is slowly fading away from it's old glory days.

1 - Hard Rock and Steve Wynn both toured Showboat a year or more ago, however no offers were made.

2 - A subsidiary of CET is considering making a bid for Revel. Regulators are concerned about the control that would give CET over the Atlantic City market. There are also concern that if CET bought Revel they would close Showboat or Bally's and the loss of more jobs.

3 - CET and Tropicana bought and closed Atlantic Club to reduce the number of casinos in the Atlantic City market. CET is seeking a deed restriction for the Atlantic Club property.
