I shudder to think that chip collecting has come to be like coin collecting when everyone who wants to look at a chip must now carry a stupid magnifying glass for close inspection. I don't think a fingerprint matters too much on a chip as it does on a mirror surface of a coin. If that's what this hobby is being reduced to.... I don't think I'll be staying in it for too much longer. Just my opinion.
