After a couple of weeks, I started to feel so uplifted about this situation. I thought that maybe if I passed on the generosity (paid it forward), someone else could feel the same way I did. So I decided to give away a pretty rare Sal Sagev chip to someone who could use it. I posted asking for people to send me an email and I would choose someone within 24 hours. I did just that and gave the chip to a very well known person on the boards in exchange for a promise that he would inturn "pay it forward". He didn't necessarily have to pay it forward with a chip but since this is a chip board... it seems to make sense.

Although I never received any communication from him afterwards (I didn't expect to), I assume that he followed through with his promise. And I would like to think that it continued after that.... but who knows.
