As a former Police Officer and Parole Agent of high violence criminals, I have seen too much of the evil that some can inflict on others. If you don't take the recent increase in crime in the state of California and other states due to the brilliant ideas of our legislators seriously, I can only hope you are never confronted by an armed assailant who wants your wallet, car or your life.

No need to respond further. Your words and the words of others who are blinded to the reality of our circumstances have little effect on those who understand.
