Always stay a week downtown in June. Usually it is the Golden Nugget, last time The D, too. We really liked the rooms at both of those hotels.

How do the rooms compare to the Nugget or The D?

What about the walk at night from the Downtown Grand to Fremont Street Experience? Is it relatively safe like walking at night from the Californian? Or a bit more unsettling like the walk at night from the El Cortez?
