In the summer of 1950, Sid Ceasar, Imogene Coca, Everett Everett Horton were part of the Ogunquit Playhouse (Maine) crowd. As a 16 year old dishwasher at Bessie's Restaurant
I had to stay until their gettogethers were over, usually, in the early morning hours. From my little cubbyhole, unseen, I was privy to non-stop
lobster and laughter. I'm sure a recording, today, of those unrehearsed sessions would be worth a nomination somewhere in the world of comedy. Sid Ceasar was
a non-stop volley of quips, jokes and merriment. Bob Denbow, R7362.
