My agenda, or set of goals, if you will, is no different than Sheldon's. How could it be? We all want to grow the hobby (and the Club) and search for ways to promote it. I would certainly look to perform my duties with enthusiasm, care, and integrity, as I've always done, and I would also look to find ways to make our organization more meaningful and valuable to the current and potential members.
If there were currently some hot-button issues about which to argue, I'm sure that Sheldon and I could have some meaningful and entertaining debate, but since there are not at the current time, I think the way in which you need to differentiate us and decide which way you're going to cast your vote has to deal with how effective you feel each of us would be in pursuing our goals.
If you read the endorsements I've received, they're not about "I'm on good terms with Jay so I'll vote for him." As a whole they're a lot more substantial than that. While it's inevitable that an aspect of elections within any club is the "popularity contest", I would hope that effectiveness, character, commitment, and corporate manners would enter into the equation. I believe many who have served or dealt with us over the years have spoken pretty clearly... including all of the current board members.
