If you have never been there ...

... make it a point to stop in after the Irish Pub re-opens on your next visit to A.C. It is quite the place with tin ceilings and historic framed pictures on all the walls. There is a manually operated elevator that still works to take guests up from the restaurant area to the hotel rooms on the second floor. No air-conditioning but evening summer breezes off the ocean keeps the rooms cool.... no bathrooms in individual hotel rooms. The second floor deck with rocking chairs is very popular with hotel guests. Hotel is closed during the winter but the restaurant & bar are open 24/7 all year round. Good food at very inexpensive (cheap) prices and a terrific atmosphere. One of A.C.'s most historic treasures that goes back to the good old "Boardwalk Empire" days.
