Time is quickly running out to get your nomination ballot in for this year's version of the Greg Susong Memorial Award. Mailed ballots need to be received by January 31st...and I will accept e-mail nominations up to that date as well. Actually, since I will be in Las Vegas until Sunday, I will accept emailed nominations until the end of the day, February 2nd. Following are the details:
The latest edition of the ’s award-winning magazine included a nomination form for the 2014 version of the Greg Susong Memorial Award. As noted on the nomination form -- “The Greg Susong Memorial Award is given to the person that makes the greatest contributions to the chip collecting hobby, in addition to having the greatest impact on advancing the chip collecting hobby during the previous year (2013). Criteria should include contributions in all facets of the hobby, both online, in print and in person at functions.” The first two recipients were Charles Kaplan & Todd Barrett, with Gene Trimble winning the award last year – recognition that is well-deserved for all of the work that they have done for this hobby as well as for the .
Please take the time to write & send in your nomination for the person that you feel is most deserving of this wonderful award. There is a down-loadable version of the nomination form on the club’s website with a link on the home page. So, you can either send in the one that came with your club magazine or you can e-mail me at Membership@ccgtcc.com & I will e-mail you a PDF version. Also note that you can scan your ballot & e-mail it to me at Membership@ccgtcc.com or you can even just send an e-mail to me at Membership@ccgtcc.com stating who you are nominating and why.
In closing, I’d like to note that this award honors someone that was not only a great friend to many of us, but also to the and the gaming collectibles hobby – Greg Susong. Please take the time to honor those in your hobby that have also given to our hobby & that have helped to make it so enjoyable & rewarding.
