Wow, Robert, that sounds like quite the mess.

I can only dream of the time where I am buying items that need that sort of documentation. I agree, despite thousands of purchases, I can count the number of them that had any stipulations attached on one hand and those were minor considerations that were done with a handshake (or a virtual handshake in the age of email). I would be reluctant to agree to too restrictive a condition unless i was getting a extremely rare or valuable item at a bargain.

The fact that chip collectors are a rather small group (when compared to coins or other collectible markets) makes for a nice community that is generally very trustworthy. I have yet to encounter a sour deal in chips and yet I am dealing with many in the coin arena currently. I hope it remains that way.
