Re: What is the downside of using "Stamps.com"

Archie,

I have a Stamps.com account. Downside yes is the 15.00 but there are some benefits. You get the discounted shipping rates with was saving me about 30 cents per package. I ship all my chips via bubble mailer with tracking so before the shipping changes it was 1.69 and now is 1.93. Only a couple of months ago Ebay started allowing you to ship free with the same prices and for free but being a creature of habit and don't like change i stuck with my account. I was unable to find the rate I ship with on the USPS website for the 000 bubble mailers and asked the post office and said you can't ship those on the site so that is why I got it over a year ago. Also it automatically updates shipping rates when ever they change so one less thing to worry about and after shipping 100s of packages I have a good idea of weight. I also able to ship overseas and drop them into any blue box and also ship flat rate boxes.

So in short is the 15.00 worth it yes in my opinion the time and effort of going to the post office to stand in line is worth 15.00 to me. I have not been to a post office in months except to pick up flat rate boxes but I guess I could order them and get them delivered.

If anyone is looking for a good bulk supplier of 000 bubble mailers let me know I pay between 6 to 7 cents per mailer.
