I don't think the idea was to get rid of them from the Chip Guide. They have a place there, and I think they should be there, if chip collectors are interested in them. I think the idea is to move them to a non-casino area. You have a link for "Other Stuff" on the Chip Guide now for a number of categories, including advertising chips. Why aren't they there? They are advertising chips. They are not casino chips and are not even intended for gambling at illegal/underground clubs. So, the suggestion is just to move them somewhere where they fit. If not advertising chips, why not make a new page for them on the Other Stuff section?

Look, if you keep them where they are, I have no real issue with it, even if you don't make a new filter. I think the idea is to make scan placements where they make sense, so new users will be able to find what they want to find, without confusion or annoyance.
