We all have made purchases we wish we could reverse. With social media being what it is today there is a greater awareness of what could be worth $. New finds are a lot more common. Then there is the unexplainable. Like the Dunes & Sands chips that still continue to sell at unexplained prices. I personally bought 4 racks of Sands $1 chips before they closed. 2 racks of blue & 2 racks of orange. I was not alone many of us did the same thing. I sold mine for $5 each. They still sell for $10-15 on e-bay etc. Then there is the situation where the older collections are being offered for sale that were seldom offered before. Yes you get burned once in awhile but over all your paying about 30% of what you would have paid 5 years ago. I could buy 3x what I bought back then now. Consider this the good old days if you keep it in perspective. It will get expensive again when the economy recovers.... it always does. For now only buy from reputable sources. Do your home work. If you see a chip on e-bay 10 times in 3 months it's not worth $100 it's not worth $10. If somebody pays $10,000 FOR A CHIP IT'S NOT WORTH $10,000 TO ANYONE ELSE EXCEPT THE BUYER.
