Don - These chips are used on single bet table games where the payout is even money, so usually black jack, come bets on the craps table, or even/odd or red/black on roulette -- these even money bets. It's not a match play chip, so you don't have to match the value of the promotional chip with a real money chip. Example: You bet the 10 NCV promo chip on the pass line at a craps table. The shooter passes. The promo chip is replaced with $10 in house chips. As someone recently posted, the house's expected value of these chips is about 50% of face since they plan on winning about half these even money bets.
