The chip your Dad purchased and sent to you was one of the very first limited edition chips the Rio released. It became one of the more difficult ones to obtain from the general circulation of chips within the casino.

At that time I was playing poker in their poker room and trying to accumulate a few of these chips. Why? I don't know why. I didn't collect them so I guess I just got caught up with everyone else who were looking for it.

The chip was issued for the 1995 Super Bowl even though it does not say Super Bowl anywhere on the chip. You can thank the Four Queens for that . Hope this helps. Best, Jim
